Role and Responsibilities

  • Process & understand, report, and clearly articulate technical issues to and from R&D teams to Carriers/vendors and vice versa.
  • The ideal candidate will combine technical and business skills to make carriers/vendors Apps quality on our devices.
  • Effectively track and follow up on open items, issues, and topics and bring them to closure, request and follow up on app deliverables from carriers/vendors.
  • Drive carriers/vendors to execute process on time and with quality (ensuring adequate diagnostics are provided with problem reports)
  • Work with application development teams to meet aggressive project schedules for carrier apps, requirements, and deliverables. Inform, discuss, and follow up on any Android and Samsung policy enforcements and other issues with vendors.
  • Coordinate and facilitate joint debug, testing, and troubleshooting sessions between R&D teams and external parties and provide critical local technical support when necessary, proactively lead team and drive issues to successful closure.


Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or Master Degree in Computer Science and Engineering, Software engineering or relevant field is required.
  • Minimum of 1~3 year of Android application development, Android application testing (QA) or work as Partner engineer or technical solution consultant for android applications/devices.
  • Good knowledge of Android ecosystem, Android application life cycle, Application components, Android features, Android Studio/SDK and various tools.
  • Good working knowledge of JAVA, Kotlin, Python, fundamentals of Computer science.
  • Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Quality assurance and testing process, Software defect management.
  • Experience with Android application development and using various SDKs and libraries.
  • Excellent communications skills (written & verbal).
  • Experience working with multiple 3rd parties, vendors, and external entities
  • Ability to read, write, interpret, and have a full understanding of technical requirement documents, engineering test manuals, standards and specifications, materials, customer applications and related documents.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify risks, issues and contingency plans, plan, organize, and prioritize multiple assignments and projects.
  • Work independently and in team environments in order to achieve personal and team goals and complete assignments within established periods and demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Able to work across various time zones with overseas R&D teams
