Reason Details: This is a position that will be used to backfill critical talent short term / long term basis. Resources are used for their unique and rare skillsets in support and development of internal AMP tools (AT2, PRO, WMON, AAR), integrations for Configuration Management, Advanced Application Automation



Duties:



The AMP Operations Engineer is responsible for engineering, configuration and integration services that support the Automation, Monitoring and Performance team (AMP This position reports to the AMP Manager and requires practical knowledge of complex IT environments and evolving technologies. Responsibilities include the development/coding of technology solutions to support ITSM strategies and business requirements. Candidate must possess a mix of the following requirements and experience;

Responsibilities:

Responsible for support and enhancement of internal .net utilities; AAR, PRO, AT3
Responsibilities include the development/coding of technology solutions to support ITSM strategies and business requirements
Support the technical requirements of developing/coding new solutions helping to achieve strategic goals through automation and continuous improvement.
Knowledge of the Enterprise environment including Infrastructure, Network, Automation, Upgrades, Monitoring and Integrations.
Exposure to related tools such as Zabbix, OMi, Dynatrace, ELK, Grafana, Kafka, NNMi, Server Automation and Operations Orchestration.


Skills:

English (Speak, Read, Write)
Proficiency in one or more programming/scripting languages such as.NET, Python
Understanding of container and Cloud technologies such as GCP, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
Exposure to Automation and Orchestration Platforms
Familiarity with enterprise environments
Exposure to Reporting and Dashboarding
Must have analytical and problem solving skills
Understanding of common systems including VMWare ESX, AIX, Linux, Windows Server, Oracle and MS SQL Server.
Knowledge of SQL and understanding of SQL scripts
Work independently and as a technical team member in an Agile environment
Basic familiarity with ITIL processes such as Incident Management, Change Management and Problem Management
Good organizational skills and the ability to document and communicate complex concepts.
Understanding of planning and implementation activities including configurations, integration, and automated process improvements
Ability to translate business requirements into technical implementation
Education & Experience:

2 -4 years of technical and/or relevant IT experience in an enterprise environment
2-4 years’ experience developing solutions for disparate environments such as Linux and Windows
A college degree or equivalent work experience.
Experience maintaining centralized code versioning with appropriate documentation
