Job Description
Primary responsibilities include design and integration of aircraft structure, interior, mechanical systems, and avionics/electrical. Includes the development and support of new product, sustaining designs, and modifications to meet customer requirements and objectives. In this position, the candidate will work closely with IPT members (such as Program Management, Technical Engineering, Manufacturing, Planning, Supply Chain, & Quality Assurance) to achieve the desired Air Vehicle requirements and objectives. Experience using CATIA V5 file based/flat file to manage CatProducts and CatParts is preferred.
Job Responsibilities
Incorporate aircraft design requirements utilizing CATIA software with an emphasis on 3D modeling and drafting
CATIA 3D model development in support of detail, assembly and installation layouts Collaboration with various technical disciplines, such as Program Management, Manufacturing, Tooling, Structural Integrity, and Aerodynamics
Support transition to production and prototype aircraft assembly, which includes coordination with Experimental Engineering to support design interpretation and occasionally investigate and respond to problems in manufacturability
Completes either new design or modifies existing design (layouts, detail parts, assemblies, installation drawings) ensuring compliance with requirements Activities will include involvement in Military applications
Responsible for provisioning for and integration of aircraft subsystems such as Mechanical Systems, Propulsion System, Electrical/Avionics Systems, and Interiors Conduct trade studies and make recommendations to determine feasibility of designing new equipment or modifying existing equipment
Education
Bachelors Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, related degreed technical fields.
