Job Description:
The Digital Thread Development Engineer will technically contribute to software script and code generation of simulation processes using Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) Tools. The PLM is an information management system that is used to enable the development of digital threads that when executed will provide analysis results that support program deliverables. Simulation processes, referenced above, include integrated and automated chains of multiple physics-based analysis tools, centralized repositories of data, digital traces of data flows, and Graphical User Interfaces (GUI) for ease of data entry by end users. The digital threads are software products that will follow the traditional development process including requirements planning, design and creation, testing, and final deployment to the engineering communities. Other related duties to be expected as assigned.
Minimum Required Skills:
• BS Engineering (Mechanical or Aerospace)• 3-5 years professional work experience in aerospace • Experience with programming languages such as C/C++/C#, JAVA, Python, Object Oriented Programming, HTML• Physics based modeling and simulation experience using tools such as CFD, FEA, etc.• Technical member/contributor of cross discipline or integrated product team
