Duration : 12 months Contract
Role Description :
Technical/Functional Skills -Datastage, UNIX, Oracle PLSQL
Experience Required-Experience in Datastage v9 or 11 and UNIX scripting
Proficiency in Oracle PLSQL Server is a MUST, with good understanding of database design and development.
Experience with very large databases and/or data warehousing.
Understanding of index design and performance-tuning techniques
Knowledge of Agile software development methodology and implementations
Code management best practices such as branching, merging, and integration strategies.
Develop and maintain tables, indexes, stored procedures, views, triggers and other objects utilizing the latest DML and DDL syntax.
Roles & Responsibilities-Lead, participate in gathering business requirements, analysis of source systems, define underlying data sources and transformation requirements, design suitable data model, and develop metadata
Load data into a data warehouse and assist in the ongoing development of technical best practices for data movement, data quality, data cleansing and other ETL related activities
Manage the lifecycle of physical data models and data maps for data warehouse system
Essential Skills :
Must have extensive 4+ years of hands on technical experience in design/development of ETL Jobs using IBM DataStage 9
Extensive development experience in Datastage 8.5 or above
Experience in creating source to target mappings
Experience in writing complex SQL in relational databases especially Teradata & Oracle
Experience in ETL & query performance tuning
Basic knowledge of UNIX Shell /Perl Scripting
Efficient in all phases of SDLC Methodology (Agile / Scrum / Iterative Development, coherent with Data cleansing, data conversion, performance tuning and unit testing
Proven experience with PL/SQL, SQL and Object-Oriented concepts and design and relational database, Netezza, Oracle, etc.

Strong verbal and written communication skills;
Excellent analytical/ critical thinking and problem-solving skills;
Good leadership skills, should be able to work/lead a small size team;
Good in work organization, delegation, follow up and change management;
Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Access, Word, Power-point & Visio)
Education-Professional or master’s degree
Experience (Years) 4-6 & Above experience required
Education : At least a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience ) in Computer Science, Software/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems or closely related field is required
