Title: Voice System Administrator

Location: Frederick, MD

Duration: 12 Months

Description:
Administrates the Avaya Unified Communications environment including Call Manager, Uptivity and TASKE. Establishes communications systems by programming voice and data telecommunications network circuits and equipment. Provide daily telecommunications application support to staff.

Responsibilities

Establishes voice and data networks by programming features; establishing interfaces and integrations; following industry standards; activating remote access tools
Verifies service by testing and reprogramming circuits, equipment, and alarms; indentifying and correcting problems; conferring with engineers
Documents Telecom network by recording configuration diagrams and programming
Maintains telecom network by troubleshooting and repairing outages; testing network back up procedures; updating documentation
Administers Avaya phone systems, Call Vector Designing, testing, problem solving and voice mail system
Assist with Business Recovery in the event of a disaster
Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

5+ years with Avaya Switch Systems, Cisco, Secure Telephone, Video Communication and other Telecommunications technologies
2 years plus experience working in a Windows/Mac environment
Experience with Windows 7, Mac OS , Google Collaboration Apps and Office 365
Willingness to travel and work out of hours and weekends providing on-call support as needed
Experience in provisioning telephone systems
Advanced understanding of technical and functional aspects of Avaya PBX systems
Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time
Experience communicating technical information with internal and external clients
Ability to work independently, complete tasks with minimal supervision and interface with end users
Willingness to travel and work out of hours and weekends providing on-call support as needed

Preferred Experience

Associate degree in technology field or technical IT certifications
Avaya Communication Manager Administration, Certification
Comp TIA A+ Certification
