Job Description :
Urgent need: Strong JAVA Developer, preferably with retail knowledge and POS experience.
Location: Columbus Ohio
Duration: 3 months initial contract, extendable
Skills needed: Java 8+, J2EE, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Hibernate, JPA, JAX-WS(SOAP Webservice), JAX-RS(RESTful Webservice), JAXB, JSON, SQL, Angular 2 +
Duties: Assist with
Designs, develops, tests and debugs software components of moderate to high complexity
Provides implementation, production and upgrade support for software components of moderate to high complexity
May act as supporting liaison between the application team and the user community, responsible for facilitating communications, coordinating system enhancements, and providing production support.
Works with user community to define business requirements in sufficient detail and define business use cases that systems configuration, development/enhancement, and/or Operations activities can be pursued.
Manages the development of user and technical documentation according to department standards.
Self-motivated, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-effort, dynamic work environment, and ability to drive features to delivery.
Good analytical and problem solving skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills,. Should be able to resolve technical problems independently or with minimal direction.
Plan for new technology insertion as and when necessary/needed. Understand and plan for evolutionary paths and provide insights.
