Sr. Performance Test Engineer
Location: Richmond, VA

Job Description:
We are looking for someone with experience with Performance Testing Order Management Systems. Knowledge of ETL and EDI as well.
This hands-on position includes interacting with leadership in the application, business and operations teams to define performance and operational goals. Resource will define the best ways to scope the problem, measure the results and recommend remediation through experience. Resource will work independently and apply proven analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, validate, and optimize performance issues by any means possible. Resource will mentor leadership team members as well as engineers in best practices for performance engineering.
Design clear performance and operational success criteria
Analyze EDI Order/Warehouse system and build performance plan
Design performance test strategy based on requirements and constraints
Produce recommendations for optimization, improved reliability, and measurements
Assess and recommend improvements to performance engineering methodology
Manage team for success and be leader to eliminate roadblocks
Provide performance test script a) development, b) execution, c) analysis and d) reporting related to capacity planning, performance validations and functionality of our new and existing programs.
Creating roles/storyboards to be used in application performance testing and monitoring
Utilizing performance monitoring data to refine performance test plans for application upgrade
Engaging projects to understand performance requirements and translating them into performance testing plans
Assisting in the evaluation of new performance testing tools and/or capabilities
Reviewing operating standards & best practices that bring clarity and simplicity to the development and execution of performance testing
Design, develop and implement modular and reusable performance testing solutions that satisfy the performance testing requirements
Produce reports and documentation for all performance testing efforts, results, activities, data, logging and tracking
Frequently communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to team members and management
Requirements
Minimum 10 years solid performance engineering experience (J2EE or .Net)
Experience with Epicor E10 or equivalent system
Experience performance testing ETL and Batch
Advanced scripting and programming skills
Expert in software architecture technologies and user interfaces
Extensive Experience in networking analysis and troubleshooting
Solid Concepts in database operations and design
Expert problem-solving skills from a technical and project management standpoint
Detail oriented/strong skills in research, analysis, solution validation, and implementation
Ability to quickly adapt to new environments, processes, and technology
Demonstrated aptitude to learn complex technical aspects of a software application
WMS, OMS experience
Self-directed with a high degree of initiative and the ability to perform with minimal oversight
Experience in application diagnostics analysis such as HP Diagnostics
Customer driven consulting experience. Experience with pre-sales support, post-sales support, training, etc
Solid fundamentals of Microsoft stack including IIS
