Description:
Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to development
Design/prototype user interface for business applications - web-based, mobile, etc.
Provide technical expertise and application development assistance in the design, development, testing and implementation of new user interfaces for existing and future applications
Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks
Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows and process flows to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
Oversee and have hands-on development of user interfaces and their development lifecycle
Work with IT development team to convert prototype mockups into rich, modern user interfaces
Present and defend designs and key milestones deliverables to peers and stakeholders
Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback
Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards
Qualifications
Front End Technical UI/UX Development with Angular, Angular JS or any JavaScript is preferred
Mobile UI/UX Development for Android and IOS is preferred however not required if you wish to learn the skills
Proficiency in visual design and wire-framing tools (e.g., Axure, Balsamiq, Expression Blend)
Possess a basic understanding of jQuery, JavaScript, CSS, Content Delivery Networks, Bootstrap framework, icon font toolkits, HTML, ASP.Net, MVC Framework, MVC Core, AJAX, C#, Entity Framework, encryption, application and data security
Working knowledge of the capabilities and constraints of web front-end technologies HTML5, CSS
Experience or training in methodologies like Design Thinking or User Centric Design is preferred
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
Interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team setting with close communication with others
Solid experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps
Demonstrable UI design skills with a strong portfolio
Education and Experience
BS/MS in Human-Computer Interaction, UX/UI Design, or related
3+ years of proven UI experience
Experience with C#, WPF, and XAML preferred, but not required
Experience with C++ preferred, but not required
Demonstrated experience developing low and hi-fidelity mockups
Demonstrated experience conducting UX Research
