Job Description:

The Quality Assurance Engineer II will serve as the hands on tester for an agency development project involving state development resources. Their primary responsibility will be to communicate, coordinate and execute end to end and regression testing. This individual will be expected to provide updates at daily Agile stand-up meetings and in support of weekly leadership meetings and work collaboratively and productively with multiple work teams.

This person will interact with other engineering groups to define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret tests for products, systems, components, or modifications. They will identify functional problems and suggest resolutions. They will execute test cases and provide regular progress reports.

This short term project delivers a solution for the Health Facilities and Emergency Medical Services Division (HFEMS) of the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) which regulates 3,000+ health facilities. That comprises 17 distinct primary types of facilities each with different regulatory requirements. Additionally, the facilities CDPHE regulates comprise State regulation and statutory licensing requirements, contracted Medicare facilities, and contracted State Medicaid facilities. Medicare has contracted with HFEMSD to perform Medicare survey and certification work, as has The Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing. The licensing application automates the unique licensing requirements for 12 different licensing categories spread across about 2,300 providers. The monitoring application automates the regulatory requirements for health facilities within the state.

Required competencies include:

Experience testing in an Agile environment.
Proven aptitude for time and task management. Demonstrated knowledge defining and communicating metrics as they pertain to product and application deliverables (quality) and work effort (time
Demonstrated understanding of application design, development, testing, integration and support within an SDLC framework.
Ability to work as part of a larger team
Ability to work under minimal direction

· Must be detail-oriented and have demonstrated the ability to take ownership of tasks, deliver on schedule, understand and manage priorities and raise risks/issues on a timely basis.

Requisition Required Skills:

* Prior experience implementing automated regression test suites using test tools such as Selenium or Katalon.

* Understanding of program and project management methodologies, including Agile software lifecycle methodologies, and their application. This is critical as this individual will be expected to contribute to the overall project plan as it relates to testing.

*Demonstrated understanding of test methodologies and prior experience in the formulation and implementation of software regression testing strategies, and preparation and execution of test cases, test reports, scripting.

* Comfortable in a "hands on" role, driving application testing to completion, and being capable of working closely with the technical leads to monitor the progress of assigned work.

* Detail-oriented with strong analytical aptitude.

Preferred:

· Prior experience testing health and environmental-related systems or healthcare IT applications preferred
