Job Description:
The Department of Employee Trust Funds has begun a website redesign project for This position will review and update content on the existing website (rewriting complex retirement and health benefits information or statutory terms into plain language) and prepare content for migration to the newly redesigned website planned for launch in Spring 2019. This may also include rewriting brochure PDF content that can be refactored to an html type format.
This position will work in the Office of Communications and collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) in the program areas across the department and the website redesign project team.
Specific job duties include:
1. Review existing website and brochure PDF content.
2. Assist in establishing brand tone and communications strategy to support the customer journey and site navigation.
3. Work with SMEs to draft content, ensure accuracy and convert to plain language.
4. Write, proof read and edit copy, following agency''s style guide.
5. Manage tracking spreadsheet for updating content and moving new content to website''s new content management system (CMS), Drupal.
6. Work with other technical staff to ensure content is formatted correctly for CMS.
7. Facilitate review cycles of content updates/additions/deletions.
8. Provide regular status updates to Communications Director and website redesign project team.
9. Assist in planning and execution of content migration to the new website.
10.Document the overall content review/update process as needed for ongoing content management and/or training.
