PM role

Jersey City - URGENT back fill

6-12 months contract to hire

Green Card and Citizens only as the client has right to hire and will not sponsor visas or work with other companies.

Will have meetings in various office location and will have to travel among them ie : Brooklyn, midtown and downtown Manhattan

Key Responsibilities:

Coordination and management of upgrades to vendor platforms
Management of the relationship to multiple vendors, including BAU support, escalation on production issues, and management of projects/issues
Interfacing with platform users (e.g. Financial Advisors, Supervisory Managers, Home Office) to triage issues and develop solutions to various requirements.
Management of the day-to-day technical work across both internal and vendor teams
Communication to Senior Management of all relevant materials related to the platform
Interfacing with Business partners to define and understand platform requirements
Translation of platform requirements into solutions and realistic workflows in partnership with all groups affected
Estimation of work efforts across internal and external (vendor) teams
Definition of the platform roadmap based on demand and capacity of the teams

Qualifications:

Bachelor''s Degree
5+ years of experience in vendor integration and management
Demonstrated design & delivery of software with a “Client First” perspective
Prior experience working at a large tier global financial institution
Excellent analytical and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex issues in an easy to understand manner
Creative problem solver and solution developer when presented with conflicting requirements, business demands and technical risks/issues

Required Skills

Hands on experience with vendor based portfolio management platforms, electronic trading, and pre/post-trade compliance modules (Long View Trading System – LVTS – preferred; Fiserv APL; Vestmark; Envestnet; Aladdin)
Strong communication and project management skills.
Agile project management (JIRA)
Thorough understanding of trading products such as equities, ETFs, options, and Mutual Funds
Basic current RDBMS experience (SQL Server, Sybase and/or DB2)

Preferred Skills:

Experience with supporting web based financial platforms at a large financial institution
Understanding of the Private Banking and/or the Wealth Management business
Understanding of Managed/Discretionary Products
Hands on experience with Windows Server
Hands on experience with Job scheduler (Autosys, Control M, etc)
Knowledge of FIX messaging

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: $58.00 to $60.00 /hour
