MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES


Designs, specifies, configures, installs and maintains network hardware, software and telecommunications services. Supports administration of hardware and software acquisitions including the adherence to standards and procedures. 30%

Leads and/or supports internal projects including keeping tasks on track and reporting milestones. 15%

Develops and implements various documentation, procedures (e.g., disaster recovery, contingency planning) and standards as well as develops and implements procedures related to network hardware and software acquisitions, use, support, security, and backup. 15%

Researches and evaluates new technologies. Completes tasks and report milestones and statuses in a timely fashion. 10%

Provides guidance for establishing and maintaining network users, user environments, directories, and NTLM security. Communicates standards for users, operations, network security, personal computers and data. 5%

Works closely with Level 2 DCS group to ensure accurate escalation of issues, handling of support calls and infrastructure support. 5%

Is responsible for top-level escalation issue correction. Mentors and guides less experienced staff as needed on daily operations, specific projects or as designated by management. 5%

Communicates with other departments to report and resolve software, hardware, and operational problems. Develops and implements disaster recovery and business continuity procedures. 5%

Provides top-level guidance for ATM operations and infrastructure system support. 5%

Performs other duties as required. 5%

SKILLS AND TRAINING

Extensive working knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, WINS, DHCP, Computer Operating

Systems, Servers, SAN/NAS Backups and Networks, including but not limited to Microsoft Exchange,

SQL and Cisco products.Some travel for prospects and support required.Solid interpersonal and writtencommunications skills.

Strong technical aptitude, desire and initiative.

Understanding of project management methodology and proven experience in project management and proposal writing.

Ability to analyze and organize statistical data used for report generation.

Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with all levels of staff and management.

Ability and willingness to work a flexible work schedule including in addition to normal business hours in a 24 x 7 support environment.

Knowledge of voice related technologies.

Ability to accurately handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Demonstrated capability working with patch deployment and scripting technologies.

Solid and proven background in network administration, bank operations and Cisco networks and related protocols.

Ability to support centralized storage solutions and the use of IT management suites.

Be on call after business hours.

EDUCATION

Bachelor?s degree in IT or equivalent work experience

WORK EXPERIENCE

6 or more years of IT systems analysis and networking experience


POSITION SUMMARY

Under close direction, this position performs the day-to-day operations involved with technical project support and information technology related user/system support including, phone support, technical installations, technical requirements and distributed computer services. Directs and coordinates local area/wide area compute network activities by performing the following duties personally. Studies the current computer systems and helps design information systems solutions that aid in bringing business and IT together by understanding the needs and limitations of both. This position is considered the seasoned professional level. Incumbents are expected to show initiative in training less experienced staff and taking on more challenging or complex assignments. Is expected to display professional maturity, judgment and experience. A certain degree of creativity, diplomacy and latitude is required
