Position Description
CGI has an immediate need for a Systems Analyst II to join our financial services team in Reston, VA.
Implements computer system requirements by defining and analysing system problems; designing and testing standards and solutions.
Systems Analyst Job Duties:
Defines application problem by conferring with clients; evaluating procedures and processes.
Develops solution by preparing and evaluating alternative workflow solutions.
Controls solution by establishing specifications; coordinating production with programmers.
Validates results by coordinating with testers.
Ensures operation by training client personnel; providing support.
Provides reference by writing documentation.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
Accomplishes information systems and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
Skillset
Must be able to understand infrastructure and work on the OOR initiative from server/middleware.
1) Expertise with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
2) Ability to translate high level business requirements into database and ETL requirements (source to target mappings)
3) Ability to document business processes
4) Knowledge of SQL for querying databases
5) Excellent communication skills
6) Strong analytical skills.
7) Ability to multitask is critical
5-7 years software development experience with experience with projects of similar scope and complexity.
