Client''s is seeking an experienced, highly motivated, System Administrator to support the High Performance Data Division (HPDD) HPC computing infrastructure.
As an HPDD Sys Admin you will be responsible for installing, configuring and troubleshooting hardware such as servers, storage devices, network switches and KVM switches, as well as a variety of core services and application software running on CentOS.
Responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to):
 Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting wide variety of hardware in the data center.
 Moving hardware between racks and re-cabling
 Receiving shipments and tracking inventory
 Troubleshooting the automated provisioning process (Cobbler, PXE, Kickstart, DHCP, DNS)
 Responding to alerts from the monitoring system
 Upgrading operating systems and applications
 Using Chef and Git to configure infrastructure resources
 Installing, configuring, tuning and troubleshooting Infiniband and Omni-Path fabrics
Minimum Qualifications:
 Must be a legal permanent US resident (Citizen or Green Card) and must physically reside in the US (Rio Rancho, New Mexico)
 5 years of experience as a Linux/Unix system administrator including experience with bash scripting, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, NTP
 Experience with Git
 Experience with configuration management using tools such as Chef, Ansible, Salt or Puppet (Chef is preferred)
 Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
 Experience installing Hardware RAID controllers
 Experience with storage devices (DDN, NetApp, JBODs)
 Understanding of Infiniband networking
 Understanding of Omni-Path networking
 Experience with multiple versions of RHEL, CentOS, SLES and Ubuntu.
 Experience creating and managing virtual machines with KVM/QEMU
 Experience with Cobbler, PXE, Kickstart
 Experience with FreeIPA
 Experience with IPMI, Conman, Powerman
 Experience with Slurm
 Experience with Zabbix or other monitoring tools
 Experience with Gerrit
 Experience with Ruby or Python
