Description:

We are looking for an innovative software engineer to join our front office portfolio management IT team. This individual will be working on the information systems that support the Portfolio Management and Risk organization. This role will work closely with business owners (Portfolio Managers/Analysts, Research Analysts), product management, and the development team.

Key Responsibilities
Design, architect, and develop dynamic data driven front office facing solutions.
Collaborate with the business in order to gather and document business requirements and functional specifications.
Support existing software with quick troubleshooting and issue resolution.
Be part of an empowered team following agile methodologies.
Key Skills:
Expertise designing and building responsive web applications including single page apps using Angular/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, JQuery.
Strong core understanding of native JavaScript with experience using, and extending frameworks.
Expertise creating reusable web components such as grids, charts, menus, etc.
Comfortable working with large datasets and designing/buildinghigh performance data intensive front-end solutions using a blend of tables and charts.
Experience working with data visualization techniques and charting libraries (e.g. D3/C3, HighCharts
Experience designing and building interactive web interfaces using client-side libraries such as Angular and/or React.
Experience interfacing web services and/or RESTful APIs.
Experience with web security, authentication/authorization protocols.
Experience with C#, Java, Python, and/or other object oriented languages.
Familiarity with Jira, Bitbucket/GIT, Jenkins.
Provide application support for business continuity.

Experience and proficiency with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, Sybase
A strong understanding of Computer Science fundamentals (e.g. algorithm time/space complexity, design patterns)
Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra)
IIS setup knowledge.

Basic Qualifications:
Either Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent programming experience is acceptable.
Financial industry experience and/or knowledge of financial instruments.
8+ years of overall application development experience with 5+ years of professional experience building web applications including SPAs using JavaScript/Typescript, CSS, and HTML.
