Position: Sr. Payroll Specialist
Location: Sunnyvale, CA, 94089
Duration: 06 + Months Contract (High possibility of an extensions/Full time) ON w2

Job Description:
What you will do:
Describe the responsibilities/accountabilities of the role
Assist in the preparation and processing of semi-monthly payroll for over 900 employees using the Ultimate Software payroll platform.
Process and maintain payroll information for time off requests and personnel transactions such as timesheets, direct deposits, leave of absences, garnishments, new hires, terminations, etc.
Prepare and maintain standard and ad hoc reports, queries, and conduct appropriate audits and review to ensure data integrity.
Process off-cycle payroll checks as needed.
Research and resolve, on a timely basis payroll related questions from employees and managers.
Prepare and upload 401k and other benefit related files.
Cross-Functional training and back-fill for other members of the payroll team as needed.

What you will need:
Describe the technical skills, knowledge, experience needed for the role
Passion for payroll and takes great pride in creating quality, accurate results.
3 – 5 years of multi-state payroll experience.
Strong understanding of payroll and tax withholding compliance obligations, including equity transactions.
Current Ultimate Software hands-on experience.
Proficiency with Excel.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.

Even better if you have:
Describe the preferred technical or leadership skills, knowledge, experience that would be a bonus to have
Solid understanding of Payroll Accounting and General Ledger mapping a plus.
Bachelor''s degree in finance or accounting.
FPC or CPP certification a plus.
