Job Description:
Responsible for designing and implementing quality solutions within the Risk Domain, including the Credit Scoring and Basel Compliancy Systems.
It is expected that you will drive things forward through the software development life cycle including deployment to Production.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Analyze business requirements and work with the business and functional owners to ensure that requirements are clearly understood and achievable.
Design and implement quality solutions that meet the requirements.
Ensure that the code meets development and secure coding standards.
Provide functional and technical support during system, system integration and user acceptance testing.
Coordinate and support deployments to Production. Additionally, provide production support during the after-care phase of a project.
Ensure that all standard processes for changes are being followed in accordance with the Change Management policy.
Coordinate with offshore developers on development tasks.
Skills Required
Development of J2EE applications using Java 8 or higher
Development using Spring and Hibernate frameworks
Experience developing web services using SOAP, Rest
Solid knowledge of writing and reading complex SQL queries
Experience working with Large scale applications with large amount of data
Oracle 12c running in a Linux environment
Strong Interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation, communication and negotiation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially within the IT community.
Excellent planning and organizational skills.
Experienced with SDLC methodologies including Agile, Waterfall
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree
4+ years Development experience in Java
7+ years of experience in a technology profession
Must have the ability to communicate, both orally and written, with other members of the team and with clients / prospective clients.
Able to work in a very fast-paced open environment
Must be able to demonstrate a high degree of attention to quality, details, correctness and deadlines.
Fluent speaking and writing in English
Additional Preferred Skills:
Development experience using React, Node.js, Redux or other UI/JavaScript based frameworks.
Development experience in shell scripting
Good knowledge of Linux OS commands
