Sr. Java Developer/Cloud Software Engineer
St Louis, Missouri
As the Cloud Software Engineer you will design and develop JAVA applications on the Cloud by creating and consuming REST, JSON-based API''s with Java, Spring Framework, SpringBoot Microservices as well as develop and execute thorough test plans including functional, regression, system testing and automate test scripts scenarios. In order to be successful, you will need to have strong collaboration and communication skills and be comfortable operating in an agile, dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
You will design and develop microservices and main application components
You will participate in Agile ceremonies as a team member
You will create and develop detailed test plans based on product requirements
You will collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, and QA team members as required on acceptance criteria that need to be tested
Participate in all aspects of testing, including functional, regression, load and system testing
You will develop and execute thorough test plans in a timely and efficient manner
You will prepare and maintains Test Plans
You will build, execute, and maintain test scripts and all associated Test Data
What makes you a good fit for this role?
5+ years of direct experience in software development, quality assurance & software testing
Cloud Skills including experience with products such as Elastic Load Balancer, Launch Configurations, Redshift, RDS, Route53, API Gateway, Lambda, Elastic Container Service, Teraform scripts
Experience using the following technologies to develop applications and solutions: Java, including Spring Framework, MVC, Spring Boot and Maven, Microservices, REST and Web Services, using JSON, XML, SOAP, Apache Tomcat, Oracle
Experience of the Linux command line and shell scripting languages
Atlassian tooling (JIRA, Confluence, and Bitbucket)
SonarQube or similar code quality and static analysis tools
Very good understanding of SDLC process, prefer: Agile/ Scrum/ XP
Strong programming, debugging/troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Automated Testing: JUnit, Selenium, LoadRunner, SoapUI
Knowledge of Postgres/ Oracle / MySQL / NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, Neo4J)
Experience with Big Data Platforms (Hadoop, Spark)
Experience with Microservices /Rest services / Soap
Experience with automating testing
Experience with UI development: HTML, JavaScript, Preferably AngularJS and Bootstrap
