Job Description:
Client is looking for talented Sr. F5 Engineer that will be focused on complex, enterprise level F5, security and networking projects. Ideal candidate will have a strong F5 background, solid IT security expertise, and preferably have worked at a technology reseller or manufacturer. The primary goal of this position is to be in the field providing billable professional services to customers. While not working hands on with customers, the engineer will provide technical pre-sales support to the sales team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Hands on post sales deployments and expert troubleshooting
o Traditional and cloud based F5 products, Application Security solutions
Perform scoping, SOW developing, complex design, consulting, & implementation tasks related to F5 and security opportunities/projects
Work with customers, sales, and internal engineering teams to propose solutions/architectures that will enable their business
Technical Pre-sales Consulting when required
o F5 Products, IT security solutions, and Client''s Professional Services
Comfortable traveling to customer engagements (20-25% travel)
QUALIFICATIONS:
Hold and active F5 Certification: 101, 201, 301, 401 (strongly preferred, but not required)
5-7 years of hands on design, configuration, and delivery experience in F5 products
o Specifically, LTM, GTM, ASM, APM, and iRules
Must have proven experience deploying F5 solutions out of the box (i.e. initial setup, F5 licensing process, base configurations, network configurations, deploying different modules, adding/removing VIPS, and advanced configurations)
Have a deep understanding of F5
Excellent oral and written communication skills, product demonstration, customer service skills, and presentation skills required.
Comfortable with the ambiguity, pace, and culture of a fast-growing small company
Comfortable adapting to new roles and environments
An entrepreneurial spirit, self-motivated and confident
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or engineering preferred
