Job Description :
Looking for Devops DBA Engineer with Oracle background to focus on automation of database admin and deployment processes, migrations to cloud and standard DBA administrative tasks. (MSSQL DBA experience would be nice to have There WILL be an on-call rotation. There are large projects coming up- migrating databases to Azure or AWS. This person will be doing day to day work plus big projects.

Devops DBA of the Future Skills:
Infrastructure development background with some or all of the following technologies.
Cloud Databases (AWS, Azure)
Orchestration Tools (Jenkins, Bamboo)
Source Code Management (Git, Bitbucket)
Scripting and Programming Languages (Python, PowerShell)

Relevant experience as DevOps, Database or Software Engineer
Expert knowledge of Oracle
Experience with at least one of: MSSQL, RDS, MongoDB, Cloudant
Experience with scripting in Python/Ruby to solve problems/automate
Linux / Unix knowledge is a must
Experience with Amazon AWS, Azure
Experience with Docker containers is nice to have
Chef/Puppet/Ansible/Terraform experience is nice to have
Working with "infrastructure as a code" is nice to have
Detail oriented and analytical mind
Experience in developing business and operational processes
Strong communication skills, with a good understanding of English, both verbal and written
Team player with the ability to operate in a fast paced, ever changing work environment

Oracle DBA general responsibilities:
Under general supervision is competent to work in all phases of database management. Proficient in all aspects of database management and demonstrates expertise in many areas of database management including: Database design; Performance tuning; Backup and recovery; Security; Disaster Recovery; Capacity management, Incident Management, Upgrades and packaging.
Collaborates on development of complex technical and security standards.
Consults on complex technical issues and contributes to architectural decisions.
May act as team leader on moderately complex projects.
Assists in training less experienced DBAs.
