Role and Responsibilities
Should work with multiple business groups to gather business requirements on analytics.
Should work with DBA’s and data architects to select correct data sources, follow established data integration standards and develop enterprise class data models , data transformation, data integration, and data warehouse/datamart solutions.
Should work with Tableau/Cognos/SSRS report developers within agency to design and develop the optimized Meta data models, and data warehouse objects for data consumption.
Should develop accurate documentations on solution architecture and components.
Should be able to administer, deploy, and manage SSRS and IBM Cognos tier components.
Should be able to provide production support on week days and occasionally on weekends.
Required Skills & Experience;
Ability to interpret, analyze and implement business analytics requirements accurately.
Advanced data modeling in data warehouse and datamarts.
Advanced SQL skills, and ability to design and develop physical data model, optimal data structures, and data procedures on Microsoft SQL Server.
Should independently work on tasks like database backup/restore, database security, SQL Jobs setup, report server administration on SSRS and IBM Cognos (11.x)
Must have strong background on data transformation and integration routines using Microsoft SSIS, and Stored Procedures.
Ability to implement new, and maintain existing IBM Cognos (11.x) meta data model.
Ability to develop, maintain and administer reports on Microsoft SSRS and IBM Cognos.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues on data integration, data warehouse/datamart and reports.
Preferred Skills;
Tableau certification on Desktop or Server.
Tableau cloud implementation.
Bachelor Degree preferred
