Cloud Architect @ Jersey City, NJ /New York City, NY for 12+ Months contract
Essential Functions
Design and implement availability, scalability, and performance plans for the Azure/AWS/Any cloud platform.
Mentor Engineering and Development team members and champion cloud best practices and Infrastructure as Code adoption.
Collaborate daily with business partners, development and quality engineers, technology and operations leadership, and peer architects in other areas to ensure clear lines of communication, common architectural and capability assumptions, and appropriate urgency for critical path undertakings.
Partner with Information Security to ensure the use of best-in-class cloud security solutions.
Design and execute on a cloud governance strategy.
Continuously improve cloud infrastructure services and drive operational excellence.
Develop cloud architectural principles, standards and best practices to be used by other technology and development teams.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of study: Computer Science, Management Information Systems, etc., or equivalent experience.
10+ years’ professional experience working as a senior/lead engineer with at least 3+ years’ as a solutions architect.
3 years of experience architecting, designing, and implementing cloud-based and/or cloud-native solutions.
A verifiable experience in designing strategic roadmaps for cloud solutions, migrations, greenfield applications, and cloud native deployments for medium to large enterprises.
Strong experience building multi-tenancy solutions including: application development and migration of “On-Premise” applications to the Cloud.
Strong experience on SpringBoot Microservices, Pivotal, J2EE
