Description:
5+ years of experience with Android, Java and UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
- Hands-on experience using Android SDK and Android Studio.
- Hands-on experience with Web Services, SOAP, REST , JQuery and JSON to connect mobile apps to back-end services
- Hands-on experience with the build tool Gradle
Preferred Qualifications:
- 8 or more years of experience with Android, Java, Java Script and UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
- Familiar with agile/waterfall development practices
- Proficient with common Android Framework API''s (WebViews,Location, Camera, Notifications, Maps and etc)
- Experience with offline storage, performance, thread management and code quality monitoring and tuning
- Experience in using Fragments, Activity workflow, ActionBar Navigation, Menu designs and view controls, and Loaders
- Comfortable with benchmarking and optimization practices
- Hands-on experience with code, deploying applications used by millions of users
- Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
- Experience developing in other OO languages/frameworks is a plus
- Practical skills in Web services, content management, and Mobile development
- User Interface design knowledge
- Experience in Test Driven Development (TDD)
- Experience with Maven
- Code versioning tools, such as Git, SVN Mobile IDEs: Android Studio, Intellij and/or XCode
- Proficient in the use of MS Office applications, such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
