The Senior Cloud API Engineer will be designing and developing highly scalable AR Cloud services. You will create secure, multi-tenant services, supporting infrastructure and work closely with other AR Cloud, computer vision and machine learning engineers to develop these services in a collaborative, agile environment. As part of your responsibilities, you will work with the Magic Leap One device on a daily basis.
The product is going to be built from scratch
They are targeting people who have worked on large scale and high traffic website. Like twitter or Yahoo. (Backend side experience preferred)
API Experience needed (RPC preferred, but REST will work)
Anybody who has worked game servers would be great fit.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with computer vision and machine learning teams to architect a highly scalable system that enables multi-user AR experiences
Design and implement secure cloud services supporting the Magic Leap One device
Write unit, integration and load tests
Work closely with our DevOps engineers to continually deploy and verify new releases
Qualifications
2-5 years’ experience designing high-performance, secure, multi-tenant cloud services
Experience with a variety of SQL and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB and Redis
Experience deploying and scaling high-traffic services using Amazon and/or Google cloud
Proficiency in 1 or more of the following programming languages: Elixir/Erlang, C/C++, Python or NodeJS
Experience with authentication and authorization in the cloud, including access token and secrets management
Familiarity with Linux, shell-scripting, git and network protocols
Familiarity with computer vision and/or machine learning algorithms is a plus
Familiarity with MMO backend or game server development is a plus
