Job Description :
Qualifications:
Candidate will need to be an expert in computing systems and software in general.
Will work closely with the Power Generation Engineering staff along with the operations staff to ensure software system is configured electrically to the design specifications required to operate the electrical system.
Will write any application using the vendors API to requested business requirements.
Will use scripting to pull various data elements out of the windows and application logs to ensure compliance with all of the NERC CIP requirements.
Position responsibilities include supporting a SCADA system used to operate and monitor the distribution electrical grid and other assets.
A broad knowledge and/or willingness to learn a variety of skills from configuration, programming, automation, business operations etc. will be required.
It is essential the successful applicant be a highly motivated self-starter that can and will be responsible for their work with minimal direction and supervision.
Works fairly independently, this role formulates or defines specifications for complex software programming applications or modifies/maintains complex existing code.
Responsibilities include working with an application dealing with the overall operating system and complex in operation and activities.
Candidate works at the highest technical level on all phases of software systems programming applications.
Candidate is responsible for working with an individual business unit on multi-project assignments.
C, C++, C# Scripting Languages (beneficial) related experience desired.
Knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as experience desired in operating systems include: - Tripwire - Sigma Flow - Excel scripting - C programming - Web services (consuming xml data) - Security Skills

Responsibilities:
Under general supervision, this fully competent role works from specifications to develop or modify moderately complex software programming applications and information systems.
Assists with the design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging and documentation of programs.
Works with an individual business unit on specific project assignments.
Guides and advises less experienced Software Systems Engineers.
Requires guidance in complex problem areas, errors may cause minor delay, expense and disruption.
