Job Description :
Overview
The overall mission of the Pharmaceutical Department is to discover the basis for inter-individual differences in response to medications, to translate research findings to clinical care, and to provide the best and most comprehensive pharmaceutical care for our patients.  Survival rates for children with cancer, hematologic disorders, HIV infection, or other serious diseases continue to increase, largely through the improved use of medications.  Our pharmacogenomic research integrates high-throughput molecular analyses, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics to identify inherited germline and somatically-acquired tumor genetic determinants of drug effects in patients, with the long-term goal of optimizing personalized drug therapy for individual patients to improve treatment outcome and reduce adverse effects.

The Senior Research Database Analyst in the Pharmaceutical Services Department plays a vital role in helping build, maintain and mine databases designed to support clinical research protocols developed by world class researchers and physicians. This position serves as a technical leader and analytical resource for clinical research under the direction of the Director - Pharmaceutical Sciences Informatics. If you are someone who enjoys a job developing creative solutions to complex problems, not doing the same thing every day and using what you’ve created to help move the needle on drug therapy research, this job is for you.
