Position : Senior MicroStrategy Developer
Duration: 6 months plus
Location: Fountain Valley, CA
Description:
The Senior MicroStrategy Developer is responsible for architecting and developing solutions and successful project delivery & process engagements. This position provides ongoing day-to-day operation support for production applications using knowledge of MicroStrategy and Oracle technologies.
Responsibility:
7+ years of proven hands on experience in the role of a MicroStrategy Developer in a Data Warehouse / BI environment
Strong business analysis experience to capture data and reporting requirements and translating to technical specifications
Good understanding of data warehousing methodology, data mapping and modeling, ETL, databases, and Business Intelligence and their processes
Develop mockups and prototypes to communicate and articulate the design ideas to end users
Strong understanding of the various MicroStrategy 10.x features and visualizations
Proficiency in creating and integrating MicroStrategy reports and objects (Attributes, Facts, Metrics, Filters, Prompts, Consolidation and Custom Groups)
Ability to work on the schema design, creating various calculated metrics, advanced thresholds, tuning, caching, alerts, report subscription, report bursting and report optimization
Good knowledge of SQL, Oracle database and ad-hoc query development
Ability to work under pressure, adapt to changing environment, and multi-task
Possess a collaborative working style and the ability to work independently in a team environment
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Self-starter with ability to manage priorities
Automotive industry experience a plus
