Job Description :
Title: Senior Firmware Technical Consultant

Location: Raleigh, NC (Contract)

Rate: Market

The technical consultant will be responsible for Firmware development of Wireless Mesh Network products.

Requirements:

Working knowledge of 802.15.x and 802.11x protocols
Mesh networking protocols and security (for example, Wi-Sun, Zigbee mesh, Lora, Bluetooth Mesh)
Hands-on experience interfacing to RF PHY-devices (900MHz, 2400MHz)
IPv6, Routing, Wireless MAC and Data Link protocols, Security protocols
Development in a resource constrained embedded environment
Extensive hands-on RTOS and computer science background
Technical leadership with the ability to guide people and make prudent design and implementation decisions
Work effectively in a cross team environment
Excellent communication and written skills
Ability to contribute in a fast paced environment

Desired:

Development of Battery powered devices
Additional areas of experience with standards such as IEEE 802.15.4g,k and Wi-Sun
Some people management skills will be a plus

In this position you will lead the development of a diverse set of products that are integrated as part of a larger system. As such, close work and communication with Software, Product Management, and Operations Teams will be required. The position will be responsible for the continued evolution of the Firmware stack to evolve the performance and functionality of the network and to also develop entirely new products to help expand client’s technology to new and diverse markets.
