Role Skills:
Senior Cognos Developer/Analyst - with excellent P&C (property and Casualty) knowledge, strong Cognos experience and Framework manager is must
Responsibilities:
Senior Technical Analyst with excellent P&C knowledge who can analyze the base Cognos FM model and work with Business to work on P&C reporting requirements to design Report Folder Mapping
repare and maintain inventory of Cognos Framework manager changes and design Folder mapping for Day 1 /Day 2 critical reports working with various Departments such as Claims, Billing, Finance team etc.
Work with end-users within the division to ascertain desired Report contents, determine report parameters and perform required analysis to ensure accurate extraction of data from the enterprise data repository (Guidewire xCenter, DataHub, InfoCenter) to meet the business needs of the end-users
Write ad-hoc reports based on user change requests using reporting tools, including COGNOS
Analyze business needs and track ad-hoc report usage to assess and recommend report development priorities for the division
SQL programming experience is definitely required; experience writing reports utilizing COGNOS v11 is recommended
Knowledge on P&C Insurance is a must
Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and professionally both orally and in writing
Ability to manage several small to medium reporting projects simultaneously, prioritize and plan work activities while meeting respective deadlines
