Top 3 Skills:
1. Spark Development: must have worked on Spark 2.2 and worked with Spark data frames. Candidates should have a Spark certification from Hortonworks, Cloudera, etc.
2. ETL Development: experience Developing and test ETL components to high standards of quality and performance
3. AWS: must have worked with AWS databricks and AWS services such as Athena or EC2
This role is helping to advise on best practices of building ETL components within AWS, so candidates should have experience recommending improved efficiencies within an analytics infrastructure

Formal Job Description:
-Develop and test ETL components to high standards of quality and performance.
- Perform design/code/test reviews for ETL components.
- Assist with planning and execute releases of ETL components into production.
- Provide operational support for the analytics infrastructure.
- Research, identify and recommend technical and operational improvements resulting in improved reliability and/or efficiencies in maintaining and/or developing the application.
- Evaluate and advise on technical aspects of open work requests in the product backlog with the project lead.
Skills:
- 8 years+ experience with ETL, SQL, Java, Spark, and Unix/Linux a must
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.
- 8 or more years of experience with ETL Development
- 8 years+ of IT work experience in business intelligence tools and systems.
- Extensive experience with one or more ETL Administration platforms
- Experience with data warehouse concepts/architecture in high volume, real-time transactions and batch ETL jobs
- Strong knowledge of AWS services and Databricks
- Working knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) and data warehouse front-end tools
- Extensive knowledge of data warehouse and data mart concepts
- Experience with full SDLC and Agile development methodology
- C, Java, Python, any Big Data tool experience a big plus
- Experience with information security and access control protocols
- Experience in Debugging/ QA Testing
