Database Administrator

Position Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for helping to manage and maintain all databases servers. Performance tuning is imperative. The position will require both technical level experience and ability to interface with all levels of users. Strong Knowledge of OTLP and data warehousing environments are required.

Here are the things we need in a solid candidate
- SQL Server clustering
- SQL Server maintenance
- The ability to work in a very fast paced agile environment and keep their cool

Support and maintain MySQL (5.x) and MSSQL server databases 2008 and 20014.
3 to 6 years database administration experience.
Experience with database size over 5 TB.
Supporting responsible for backup and recovery.
Disaster recover experience.
Maintaining database performance including patching and optimizing if necessary.
Work with UNIX and Windows admin on database server system tuning.
Database performance monitoring and tuning.
Troubleshooting and plan database infrastructure.

Required Skills:
Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science or related field or relevant experience.
Knowledge of maintaining MS SQL server 2008 and above.
Experience with SQL Server clustering.
Knowledge of database warehouse designs.
Knowledge of maintaining MySQL server 5.x.
Knowledge of UNIX and Windows Server scripting.
Knowledge of working in a 24 X 7 clustered work environments.
Knowledge of Windows environments.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Highly motivated team player with great attitude.
Works independently or in a team environment.
Works extra hours as needed.
