Job Description :
SQL Performance Tester- 50% Remote 50% onsite
Client is upgrading OLTP database from SQL Server 2008 to SQL Server 2016, and are focused on performance testing
They need someone with deep SQL Server performance investigation, beyond what can be extracted from a SQL Server trace
Client has had challenges comparing query timing results from SQL Server 2008 DMVs, to similar results in 2016 DMVs. Candidate must be familiar with any differences in performance metric DMVs between SQL Server 2008 and 2016.
Client wants someone experienced with generating load tests that include replaying or re-executing transactions. Candidate must have experience re-playing transactions in both SQL Server 2008 and 2016. Replaying transactions testing of isolated db adjustments using the same workload repeatedly.
Client is using Load Runner for testing, but is interested in a candidate who knows other techniques and tools. Load Runner background is not required but will be necessary to find the right candidate.
