Job Description :
Our client in the Philadelphia area is looking for a SQL DBA to join their team. This is a W2 role need to do In-person.
Position Description:
Work with some existing structure, and contribute to the design and implementation of new systems
Support, maintenance, troubleshooting of existing and new SQL Databases
Work with SSIS/SSRS/SSAS
Automate a lot of manual tasks
On-call random nights and weekends, not frequent (24x7 shop – if you are on call, you may be called on a night or weekend)
Required Skills:
Mid to senior level SQL DBA experience to handle this by themselves
Data warehousing experience – SSIS/SSRS/SSAS, SQL 2012 and newer availability groups a must
Knowledge of automating manual tasks (backups, tests, verifications, etc. – training provided)
Knowledge of SQL design and implementation (will be trained on this)
Personality is crucial – confident and sense of humor
Excellent communication skills to work with the IT team and Application Development
Ability to do on-call (sometimes it may go weeks, 1-2 calls/week average)
Experience working in a multi-site, enterprise level environment
Used to working by the book (process, change control, documentation, create documentation where there is none, and work with the team to have someone create the documentation for you)
Ability to have fun with the team (team happy hours, scheduled maintenance, etc
