SQL BI Cloud Developer

Position Overview:
The BI Cloud Developer is responsible for developing tools, configuring services and deploying code to a cloud instance for the purpose of processing data used in reportingnbsp; The BI Cloud Developer works with other developers to determine the best design to relocate on-prem database solutions to a cloud instancenbsp; This position requires collaborating with team members on technology, process and solutions to support over development goals and product roadmap.

Education/Licensing Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science
Advanced degree a plus
Experience Requirements:
At least 1 year of experience with developing solutions in at least 2 of the following Azure-cloud-based services:
Data Factory, Stream Analytics, Machine Learning, Event Hubs, SQL Database, SQL Data Warehouse, Databricks, Azure SQL Database, Spark
Experience with migrating on-premises database environments into the cloud (Azure)
Experience with developing cloud-based data sources for reporting tools like Power BI
Experience creating conceptual, logical and physical data models
1+ years’ experience working within the healthcare industry preferred, but not required
Ability to estimate development tasks accurately and meet agreed upon deadlines
Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
Understanding of code promotion, version control, and QA procedures

Essential Job Responsibilities:
Design and develop pipelines for Azure Data Factory
Design and develop services for ? data integration, consumption and working with other team members that develop visualization
Design and implement complex data models.
Work with customers in data migration projects to build migration scripts and integrate with customer’s existing databases and/or data feeds
Work with software engineers and database engineers to ensure the overall application design is optimal
Review database design and code written by other database and software engineers.
Design, implement and operate database systems for performance and reliability
Design and implement measurement systems to assess service delivery and key performance indicators of critical applications
Build database tools and scripts that enable automation of tasks
Ensure that storage, archiving, back-up and recovery procedures are functioning correctly
Prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
