Development Engineer - Team Leader
Skills and Competencies
Hands-on experience with SAS Financial Crimes Suite in a Unix-based environment.
Ability to understand and troubleshoot and optimize SAS code, and shell scripts.
8 Plus years of hands-on experience with Development in Java, JavaScript, JSP, XML / JSON, C#, ASP.NET Webforms. ASP.NET, Web Services, Apache
Experience working with large amounts of data in relational databases e.g. SQL Server and Oracle.
Familiarity with troubleshooting and tuning database code and queries.
Experience working with Agile teams and participating in program and team level activities.
Experience as Release Train Engineer on Agile Programs is preferred
Hands-on experience working with some enterprise source control software
Preferred experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, Bitbucket
Ability to coach, teach and mentor team
Excellent verbal and written communications skills, with an ability to express and explain complex technical concepts to business users and non-technical team members.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Strong project management skills, operating as part of a team organizing, planning and executing projects
Primary Responsibilities
Assigns and directs the work of team members
Estimates timelines and technical efforts for planning purposes
Works closely with agile team members, scrum masters, product management and enterprise architecture.
Responsible for program design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation
Works with the program level team to coordinate efforts across multiple agile teams.
May act in liaison capacity with other departments, divisions and organizations
Operates with considerable latitude for independent action or decision
