Description
We are looking for an OCI Architect that has demonstrated abilities to architect OCI Solutions in large customer environments (100PB+) on a global scale. The candidate will need to have experience with providing the overview, demo''ing, design/architecting (including integrating the current environment into any new solutions) of the following;
Your future duties and responsibilities
Anomaly Detection Engine (ADE) – using OCI machine learning for predictive performance analytics of compute, FC switch, and storage resources
"IT Service Provider” reporting capabilities – using OCI for tracking IO Density / IOPs per TB, SLOs / SLAs against actuals, etc.
Capacity Planning / Forecasting / Show Back reporting capabilities
OCI "solution packs” for operational troubleshooting (i.e. for VMWare, FC Switches, and Storage Admins)
o + cover how OCI can be used to troubleshoot slow drain use case
o OCI / Service Now integration 1 layer) o Plugging CMDB gaps with OCI storage and storage constructs / dependency mappings
o Incident management integration; sending alerts from OCI to Service Now Incident Management System o URL integration from Service Now to OCI; drilling into OCI directly from a Service Now trouble ticket
OCI for Cloud Readiness / Cloud Optimization o looking at on-prem VM resources to identify targets for optimization prior to cloud lift and shifts (i.e. VMs that are oversized / undersized, at rest, or powered off and potential cost savings that can be achieved in Azure or AWS)
Cloud Monitoring – using OCI to monitor AWS and Azure cloud resources (cloud monitoring, cloud cost containment, cloud reporting)
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
A strong knowledge of both SAN and NAS storage operations and engineering principles, especially with regard to storage configuration and performance management. The candidate should have very strong customer management skills along with the following skillset concentrations; VMWare, EMC, Brocade, Windows, Unix, Storage Management Best Practices, and CMDB. The candidate should be a clear communicator and demonstrate operational excellence of virtualized and storage solutions.
Remarks:
Month to quarterly travel to NYC area would be required for this position.

Open to working remote from anywhere nationally but would prefer close to NYC for monthly travel to work on-site.
