Position Specific Description
The Business Solutions Developer will be responsible for building out new features and functions on an established platform to support business process improvements and scalability.This individual must be self-driven to learn our technology stack and develop solutions meeting the business needs.This individual will be working closely with the rest of the development team in an agile environment.Its expected the Business Solutions Developer is active in reviewing requirements from the business, offering input on possible solutions, building solutions collaboratively and meeting team deliverables in each sprint.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Support of existing software applications used by the company in its day-to-day business
Debugging, fixing and enhancing existing software
Design front-end user experience with a focus on intuitive ease of use
Designing, developing, and testing full-stack software solutions for the business
Essential Skills and Experience
Experience with front-end web development using React, HTML, CSS
Experience writing back-end web services in nodejs (Express, HAPI, etc)
grasp of using source control management software git/GitHub ateDemonstr
Experience in writing automated unit tests including front-end component testing
Demonstrated ability to write software code in more than one software language
Demonstrated ability in at least one database technology and query language
Familiar with designing, writing, profiling, debugging and testing code
Good oral and written communication skills
Preferred Skills
Experience working with SCRUM teams and ability to follow development processes
Experience with front-end development technologies (SCSS, Webpack, Apollo, etc)
Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud Functions, AWS Lambda)
SQL experience or demonstrated knowledge of database construction and design
Preferred experience supporting cloud-based (AWS, Google Cloud, etc) solutions
Preferred experience using RabbitMQ, MongoDB, GraphQL
