Job Description :
The Quality Assurance person will be responsible for testing and validating all changes made to business applications. The changes include production support fixes, minor enhancements as well as larger strategic initiatives. They will also interact with both business users and members of the development team.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience
· At least 4+ years’ experience with testing for .net, Web based applications
· 4+ years’ experience providing Quality Assurance support for business applications
· 4+ years’ experience working directly with business – end users
· Able to create and run SQL queries
Additional Requirements:
· Public Websites user experience testing
· Ability to create Test Plan and Test Cases
· Ability to perform System, Functional, Integration, and Regression tests
· Ability to perform white and black box testing
· Prior work experience with Mercury/HP tools including Quality Center/Test Director and QTP
· Ability to automate test scripts using QTP or Selenium
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Able to work in team environment and interact with other technical resources to solve issues as a group.
· Ability to perform manual testing
· Ability to accurately report defects and troubleshooting
· Ability to work on own – self starter
· Must have initiative to gather knowledge to perform job responsibilities
· AS/400 experience is a plus.
Responsibilities:
· Work with business users to validate related requirements
· Work with business and development teams to understand details of solution being implemented.
· Make sure all documented requirements are working as described.
· Attend meetings with business users and development team to discuss and finalize changes.
· Perform automated as well as manual testing of needed functionality.
· Develop and execute detailed test plans.
· Coordinate UAT activities
· Maintain clear and accurate time reporting (Clarity) information related to Q/A work
· Able to meet the project deadline
· Comprehensively use SQL in querying back-end DB tables for Data Validation and Verification
· Ability to learn new technologies, methods, procedures and applying them to the projects.
