QA Analyst

-Minimum of 4 years of experience in software QA/Testing

Position Purpose
Responsible for ensuring the quality of test artifacts. Designing and maintaining tests using Jira and Zephyr for .Net and existing applications looking for accuracy and compliance with requirements and company standards. Utilize knowledge of databases and SQL Language to create, obtain and organize testing data of the database to execute complex testing requirements. Perform testing to verify quality of tests created.

Perform testing beyond provided scripting utilizing good judgment and knowledge of the application and the user’s environment.

Position Accountabilities
-Writing and maintaining tests
-Set up test environments
-Performing testing tasks on in-house software products
-Making certain the test artifacts meet company standards, design specifications, and are within total quality management limits
-Participating in team meetings
-Performing other duties as assigned by lead or manager

Minimum Requirements
-Minimum 4 years’ experience in software QA/testing
-Experience using Jira and Zephyr a plus
-Ability to read and interpret business requirements and technical documents
-An eye for detail
-Effective written and verbal communication skills
-Ability to work both independently and with a team
-Self-starter with strong multitasking ability
-Ability to set up and maintain a test environment
-Knowledge of transportation industry a plus
-Familiarity with standard testing philosophy and procedures
-Experience with MS, SQL and basic database maintenance
-General familiarity with relational databases

Physical Requirements
-Constant and close visual work at desk or computer
-Constant sitting and working at a desk
-Frequent verbal and written communication with the team and other business associates by telephone, correspondence, or in person
-Frequent lifting of folders, files, binders and other objects weighing up to 20 lbs.
