DISYS has been engaged to identify a Technical Project Manager with Systems Engineering experience to be responsible for planning, leading, organizing, and motivating Infrastructure and Agile project teams to achieve a high level of performance and quality in delivering Infrastructure projects that provide exceptional business value to internal and external users. The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for managing several concurrent high visibility projects using Agile methods in a fast-paced environment that will cross multiple development initiatives and teams.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project Planning, Management & Reporting – Define project scope and schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value; organize and lead project status and working meetings; prepare and distribute progress reports; manage risks and issues; correct deviations from plans; create POCs, Vendor procurement and management, and perform delivery planning for assigned projects.

Team Management – Assist in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments, removing roadblocks to their work; leveraging organizational resources to improve capacity for project work; mentoring and developing team members.

Product Owner Support – Support the Product Owner in managing customer expectations for project deliverables, managing stakeholder communications, and helping to implement an effective system of project governance.

Process Management and Improvement – Define and manage a well-defined project management process and champion ongoing process improvement initiatives to implement best practices within Agile Project Management Methodology.

Team Building – Promote empowerment of the team, ensure that each team member is fully engaged in the project and making a meaningful contribution to encourage a sustainable pace with high-levels of quality for the team.

SCOPE OF PROJECTS:

Collaborate with dynamic teams within a 15 to 20-person work group for the implementation of small to large Infrastructure projects encompassing Data Center initiatives, Server migrations, Network upgrades, Storage scaling, replacement of Switches/Routers, Software and Hardware implementations.
Must have the capability and proclivity to work in a Systems Engineering capacity as projects and timelines necessitate.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Effective interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building.
Expert analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands.
Profound Systems Engineering technical knowledge with the ability to establish/maintain high level of customer trust and confidence.
Proven ability to lead development, migration and upgrade projects and ensure objectives, goals, and commitments are met.
Conversant with Data Center installations, Network Protocols, Cisco technology, HPE BladeSystem c7000, Palo Alto Firewall, SQL and Linux Servers, Red Gate SQL Server and monitoring tools.
Solid understanding of and demonstrated experience in using appropriate tools: Agile Project Management tools such as JIRA, Rally, or the equivalent; Microsoft Project, Visio, and all Office Tools.
Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with both business and IT individuals at all levels including the executive level.
Able to embrace and implement new technologies with a proactive, flexible, team spirit approach.
QUALIFICATIONS:

BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.
A proven track record of successfully implementing infrastructure, network, storage, hardware, software/web development projects using Agile methodologies.
3 plus years of experience as a Project Manager managing large, complex projects in an infrastructure environment.
4 plus years’ prior performance as a Systems Engineer and able to function with current, relevant technologies and methodologies.
Prior experience with Scrum/Agile methodologies with enterprise-level application development project.
Experience overseeing multi-functional project teams with 10 or more team members including Database Developers/Administrators, Systems Engineers, Business Analysts, and Quality Assurance personnel.
