Job Description :
Application Engineer for Electronic Design Tools. Primary responsibilities cover performing the application deployment, upgrades, development and support of CAD applications and system integrations. Internally developed scripts and Commercial off the Shelf (CotS) tools are in the scope.
Responsibilities:
The following services (EDT) that are in scope :
1. Application server-side activities:
Implement, configure, upgrade and test application deployment and system integrations.
Perform application, database migration and verification.
Create and maintain documentation to support applications and processes.
Perform application troubleshooting.
Train Help Desk admin/tool support staff.
Maintain software configuration management.
Support setting up new projects and accounts on LINUX and UNIX servers.
Maintain tool website.
Ensure application availability and performance.
2. CAD client software user support:
Provide Admin and tool support including CAD client software setup and troubleshooting.
Manage CAD software and provide access to users.
3. Develop support scripts and customization for ECAD tools:
Scripting, maintenance and support.
4. Support audits and compliance initiatives.
Required
Should be an US national to work on Aviation Export Control activities
Work on-site in Grand Rapids, MI
Excellent speaking and writing communication skills
Must have experiences working with Relational Databases
Proven working experience in Application and Service support for about 3-5 yrs
Bachelor''s Degree or higher in computer science or a related field
Excellent troubleshooting and creative problem solving skills.
Strong skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets with business acumen
Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment and learn rapidly.
Ability to work independently.
