Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer
Support Logical Provisioning applications Hardware refresh efforts to include both virtual and on-prem hardware.
Participate in requirement gathering and the project kickoff meetings to share expertise.
Experience in taking a leading role in building complex software systems.
Working with Business Analysts, System Analysts, Database teams and software teams to support the Verizon SNM applications.
Providing direction on best practices in designing and developing high performance middle tier.
Deploy micro services using Java and spring, spring boot and Restful to discover, activate and provisioning the network elements.
Define the scope of the services, provide service descriptions with the details of the service specification using swagger.
Implement modern engineering, DevOps and CI/CD process, best practices using Jenkins, GitLab and Bitbucket.
Document code changes consistently during bug fixing process by listing a description of the program, special instructions, and any changes made to database tables on procedural, modular level using Confluence.
Engage in daily status meeting and provide transparency, educate subordinates and support agile methodology advocated by the project.
Responsible for setting up continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines across all the servers.
Supporting application in AWS cloud using CLI for EC2, Cloud9, CodeStar, Cloud Formation, Lambda, VPC, RDS, IAM, S3, ELB, SNS and SQS.
Implementation of infrastructure with Ansible playbooks using Jenkins Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployments.
RedHat OS version upgrade and server migrations.
Creation of SSL certificates and renewing certificates.
Develop shell scripts to auto start micro services using cronjobs.
Deployment of micro services using Jenkins Continuous Deployments for Dev and UAT environments.
On-call support for major applications that involved troubleshooting issues in application components, application servers, web servers, for production and nonproduction environments.
Migrate Bitbucket repositories to GitLab and setup Jenkins with CI CD Process.
Creation of Docker Images using Docker files.
Webserver configurations (WebLogic, iPlanet, JBoss and Apache/Tomcat)
Configuration of SonarQube & Fortify for continuous inspection of code quality and security vulnerabilities.
Because of the complexity of the project and the assigned duties, the minimum requirement for performance of these duties is a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a closely related field.
