Job Description :
Role: Platform Admin
Location: Long Beach, CA and Ridley Park, PA
Duration: Contract
Production Operation Support for Micro Focus Enterprise Server/Enterprise Developer for Windows running MSS applications of IMS, COBOL, JCL in EBCDIC codeset
Micro Focus Enterprise Developer/Server installation and configuration
OLE DB, MQ connection setup and management
Server configuration setting for optimal performance
Maintain and support Micro Focus servers including start/stop
Upgrade Micro Focus servers for MF software upgrades and hot fixes
Housekeeping processes like clean up spool and logs, trace files
Backups – are related to production server Data only which are part of Microfocus server
Complete active directory setup and management
Troubleshooting
Interface with Micro Focus and other product vendors for problem management
Should be USC or GC willing to work on 3shifts roation
Must have good hands-on Micro Focus Enterprise Server on Windows with good diagnostics and Monitoring skills
Should have experience in Change Management like code promotion, GIT repository functions
Preferable candidates with good scripting knowledge and hands-on in COBOL to support inhouse tools for SFTP and other utilities
