Job Description :
Our client in Washington, DC is looking for a RAC DBA for a 6 week project starting immediately. This consultant needs DB RAC in 11g and 12c - to assess twelve (12) Oracle Real Application Cluster (''RAC'') databases based on Oracle 11g and 12c:
a. Reviewing existing reference materials for databases.
b. Evaluate architectural gaps and potential options by:
i. Reviewing the current database configuration.
ii. Reviewing the current database operating system and database parameters.
iii. Reviewing the current RAC cluster ware configurations for those databases that are configured as cluster databases.
iv. Reviewing the current configurations for Oracle Cluster Registry (''OCR'') and voting disks.
v. Reviewing the current Automatic Storage Management (''ASM'') configurations and/or storage disk configurations.
vi. Review the data guard configuration for one
(1) database that participate in your data guard replication. c. Gathering your database diagnostic information by: i. Collecting statistics through Automatic Database Diagnostics Monitor (''ADDM''), Automatic Workload Repository (''AWR'') and/or Oracle Enterprise Manager (''OEM'' ii. Reviewing existing database performance as well as any anecdotal performance evidence collected and provided to Oracle by you. iii. Reviewing the large database tables, index definitions and growth, and analyzing the impact on the overall performance of the database. iv. Reviewing and analyzing specific problem areas identified from statistics collected from services performed above. v. Reviewing up to five (5) Structured Query Language (''SQL'') statements identified through the AWR report. d. Provide up to two (2) days of services to review the performance issues of your data masking extracts for two (2) databases. e. Provide up to five (5) days of services to document Oracle’s activities, findings, and prioritized recommendations in an engagement summary report.
