TITLE: Sr. Software Engineer (Integrations)

Basic Function:

The function of the Sr. Software Engineer (Integrations) is to work with the Software Architect and Director of Software Engineering, along with the development team and business to develop both in-house and customer-facing web applications, integrate with external systems and help clients integrate with our API. This position will take the lead for various API integrations both inbound and outbound. They will help clients implement and configure their account, integrating our API in their solutions, gathering feature requests, and working with clients to understand timelines and setting proper expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

Coding, Analysis, Testing, Writing and maintaining API documentation
Understanding and integrating with external systems using their API
Communicate with appropriate business units as needed
Help clients understand integration options and timelines
Understand client’s requirements and offer solutions that work best for both
Resolve questions and problems directly through individual efforts or by triaging problems with project manager and core engineering team
Maintain and update internal tools and integration process documentation
Create knowledge base materials
Evaluate, test and certify 3rd party client applications and APIs
Understand external system API and integrate with our applications
Actively participate in SCRUM ceremonies
Lead, mentor and help junior members of the team

Key Competencies:

Strong experience developing web applications using ASP.Net MVC with C# in a services-oriented architecture
Strong knowledge developing REST web services using Web API / WCF.
Strong client side experience using JavaScript, JQuery, HTML, CSS
Strong knowledge and work experience in MVC design pattern.
Strong understanding of internet technologies e.g. DNS, web servers, proxy servers, firewalls etc
Strong knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices.
Strong knowledge of database concepts and SQL Server
Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Experience with cloud design patterns and familiarity with AWS and/or Azure is a plus
Ability to comfortably move across high-level technical design, detailed technical design, implementation, and production support.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment using Agile development methodologies
Strong knowledge of web application design and development
Ability to use seasoned judgment to suggest approaches that optimize among customer needs, business constraints and technological realities
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Ability to communicate with technical as well as non-technical users
Strong interpersonal skills
Highly organized, with a strong attention to detail
Capable of handling multiple assignments simultaneously
Ability to work independently
Self-motivated & hardworking and quick learner
Enjoy working in a small team environment

Experience and Education:

BS / MS in computer science or equivalent experience
7+ years of post-college experience or 10+ years of professional experience without degree
