Title : IT Network Manager
Location :Chantilly, VA 20151
Duration :6 Months Contract 2 Hire
Interview :Phone, Onsite/Skype

Description :
Need to have Management experience with hands on experience

Some Remote work available, once acclimated

Experience: 10+ years
Education: 4 Year Degree Required

Top Must Haves:
o Routing
o Switching
o Data Center Networking
o Unified Communications – VoIP, unified messaging, video, etc.
o Genesis as a plus

Job Notes:
Networking Engineer with strong Cisco experience
o CCNP to CCIE level
Someone who has moved into management for 1-3 years
They do not want this person to be hands-on in this role; they want him to lead 5-7 engineers
Mentor them and teach the networking engineers on the team
o set schedules, deal with HR, set day to day responsibilities of the team
o Must be able to motivate the team. Excited to work with people
Understanding of VOIP (Cisco UC) and other traditional phone systems (PBX, Nortel, etc
o – just needs to understand - does not have to have hands on knowledge


The primary purpose of this job is to ensure the availability and performance of the voice and data networks on a 24x7x365 basis, and to be responsible for optimizing all aspects of the network/telecom eco-system, including performance, resiliency, availability, resource utilization, and automation.
Bachelor’s Degree in electronics, computer technology, information systems, or a related field.
Minimum of ten (10) years of network and/or telecom management experience, preferably in an enterprise environment.
Demonstrate understanding of Network/VOIP concepts required.
Team of 5 network engineers, 2 voice contractors
-They are a cisco shop- and are moving to ACI, F5
