Job Description :
1) Support the NPS N2001-05/-10/-20 servers for end to end solutions.
2) Should carryout backup and restore tasks using nzbackup and nzrestore.
3) Should leverage nzsession, nzsystem, nz_skew, nzstats, nz_health utilities to monitor the skew and distribution of all tables.
4) Troubleshoot security LDAP authentication issues related to users and groups.
5) Utilize nz_migrate, nzload to load and unload the data from text files and other databases.
6) Apply the nzstop, nzstart utilities to restart the NPS and do manual vacuum using nz_manual_vacuum.
7) Configure the history database to collect all column and table level history info. Create databases and design the database objects with appropriate parameters.
8) Work with Netezza support to resolve issues related to disk replacements and hardware components replacement.
9) Write shell scripts to automate ETL jobs, nz process related jobs, groom, genstats etc.
10) Troubleshoot performance issues, database usage, hardware components SPUs, SPA, Disks and raise PMRs with IBM NZ support to resolve the issues and upgrades.
11) Install & configure SQL extensions and INZA on the Netezza performance server.
