We are looking for a candidate for the position of Microstrategy Consultant.
Role: Microstrategy Consultant
Location: Nashville, TN
Duration: Contract
Highlights of Responsibilities:
Develop MicroStrategy reports and Dashboards.
Experience with Microstrategy version 10.4 and above is preferable.
Develop canned and ad-hoc reports and dashboards using MicroStrategy.
Report development grids, graphs, dashboards, Freeform SQL, Report Services.
Experience in Design/Build/Testing of Microstrategy reports & Dashboards
Design, implement and schedule intelligent cubes for ad-hoc analysis
Orchestrate intelligent cube refresh based on ETL state
Design and develop MicroStrategy schema objects based on given requirements
Design and deploy tables based on requirements that are optimized for Microstrategy and the database (Teradata primarily)
Provide technical assistance, training, and consultation for Microstrategy maintenance, deployments, object design, and best practices.
Experience writing efficient SQL for complex queries against SQL databases.
Experience with functional analysis, requirements development, and technical problem solving in large data processing environments.
Experience and extensive knowledge in Data warehouse designing techniques like Star Schema/Snowflake.
Requirements:
Expertise in Windows & cloud based Microstrategy deployments
Experience on Microstrategy Development for web and mobile
Minimum of 5 years of experience with Microstrategy
Capability to work independently with minimal supervision and assume additional responsibility without prompting
Desired Skills and Knowledge:
Solid understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles, and practices
Experience with columnar databases and optimization for and with Microstrategy
SQL development background with experience in data mart / data warehouse environments,
Strong knowledge of best practices around Microstrategy architecture, data models
Additional Attributes:
Healthcare experience a plus
Power BI or Tableau experience a plus
Critical Thinking
Excellent communication skills
Understanding of basic business principles and the ability to self-prioritize
Strong beliefs, loosely held
