Lead Platform Engineer

Location: Miami,FL

Duration: 12 months

What you will do:

· Lead a team of engineers to build and manage the core application and back end infrastructure for the Evergreen platform including all integration with 3rd party vendors

· Design and implement the data strategy

· Implement new services and features in a highly collaborative environment along side product managers, designers and fellow engineers.

· Manage a highly maintainable and performant codebase.

· Contribute to a building a, high quality performat code base.

· Lead solution architecture sessions with fellow engineers and product teams.

· Mentor and lead other engineering team members

· Play a key role in hiring and growing the engineering team

Minimum Requirements:

· 7+ years software engineering experience with expertise in designing and developing a RESTful service oriented and/or microservice architecture

· Experience with developing serverless platforms

· Experience with AWS services (Lambda, VPC, API Gateway, Cognito, DynamoDB, etc

· Experience with JavaScript / Typescript ecosystem (build tools, package manager, frameworks, debugging tools, etc

· Experience designing data persistence and caching concepts using both SQL and NoSQL DBMS (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Redis, etc

· DevOps experience with knowledge on how to setup, configure, and maintain a CI/CD pipeline (gitlab)

· Excellent knowledge of software engineering best practices (e.g. agile software development, continuous deployment, behavior driven development, code review, design documentation, etc

· Knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g.: Docker, Vagrant, etc

· Entrepreneurial / Startup Experience

· Experience in the financial services industry

· Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering, or of equivalent experience

Project Summary:

· Lana is an online banking platform with a close collaboration to a national pawn shop customer network.


· Our vision is to provide underserved or unbanked customers with leading financial services, from banking to lending.


· We will be acquiring customers through traditional online channels and in-store (pawn shop) transactions.


· From the pawn shop perspective, pawn customers can view and pay back their secured pawn loan through Lana.


· We will be integrating with a national retailer’s pawn shop systems and displaying pawn transaction information in the customer’s Lana dashboard.
